Update 6 – Official Channel for Trident Information

Thursday 6 March – 1715

Alfred is currently category 2 and is expected to remain of similar intensity until the centre starts to interact with the coast and Islands. The centre of Alfred is expected to cross the coast very early Saturday morning, most likely between Noosa and Coolangatta.

We understand that many of our staff are facing challenges getting to work, whether due to childcare responsibilities or public transport issues.

However, it is essential that you inform the TOC (1800 577 529) or your usual point of contact/manager if you are unable to attend your shift.
This is especially important as many sites continue to operate as usual during this time, ensuring adequate shift coverage. Failure to notify us of your absence may result in incorrect pay. Additionally, please remember to complete your leave forms before the next payroll cut-off date.
If we do not hear from you, we become concerned for your safety, which places further strain on an already stretched workforce.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

As we are about to experience a potentially extreme weather event, accessing support for our people is paramount.

Over the coming days situations will change, and people may feel the need for support at different times and some may not feel the need for support at all.

Please see the attached information on support through a natural disaster. AccessEAP will continue to operate and be there to guide you.  If you need to access counselling services, simply call 1800 818 728 where someone will be on hand to help.

Update 5 – Official Channel for Trident Information

This is especially important as many sites continue to operate as usual during this time, ensuring adequate shift coverage. Failure to notify us of your absence may result in incorrect pay. Additionally, please remember to complete your leave forms before the next payroll cut-off date.
If we do not hear from you, we become concerned for your safety, which places further strain on an already stretched workforce.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Feeling anxious?

As we are about to experience a potentially extreme weather event, accessing support for our people is paramount.

Over the coming days situations will change dramatically and people may feel the need for support at different times and some may not feel the need for support at all.

Please see the attached information on support through a natural disaster. AccessEAP will continue to operate and be there to guide you.  If you need to access counselling services, simply call 1800 818 728 where someone will be on hand to help.

  • If the site is closed, then you must not attend work. If you have capacity to work from home then please do so.
  • To offset any loss of wages you may access annual leave, or under certain circumstances personal leave (e.g. if you have carer responsibilities, attending an emergency event – you are flooded in). A leave form is attached for you to complete and send to TOC or your supervisor/manager if you wish to access leave.
  • If there are individual circumstances that affect you prior to, or following, an official shut down of your work site e.g. carer responsibilities (schools closed, etc) then you can also access annual leave or personal leave.
  • For those who are affected significantly due to cyclone damage e.g. your house is no longer habitable, you may be eligible for disaster recovery leave, please contact Amanda Keir to discuss additional support: amanda.keir@tridentservices.com.au . In addition, state and federal governments may also provide additional support.

Feeling anxious?

We understand that our employees and their families may be feeling anxious in the lead up to the cyclone making landfall, as well as dealing with any after effects.
